'Santa Claus' To Visit Longwood Estate In Ridge For Old-Fashioned Christmas
The Dec. 3 event will include sleigh rides, hot cocoa, and roasted chestnuts.
RIDGE, NY — The Town of Brookhaven will host an old-fashioned winter festival with an appearance by "Santa Claus" at the Longwood Estate in Ridge on Dec. 3.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be sleigh rides, and for refreshments, there will be hot cocoa and roasted chestnuts. Families will be able to snap photographs while visiting with "Santa."

Officials urged visitors not to forget their letters to "Santa," but asked that the child's name and address be included in the letter so the big guy can respond. The town's INTERFACE program will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for children in need.
The cost of the event is $5 per child for ages 12 and under.
