  1. Mastic Beach native Cheyenne Irizarry is serving with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) and Ice Exercise (ICEX) 2022 in the Arctic Ocean. The program consists of a three-week research, test, and evaluation of operational capabilities in the Arctic region. The school district congratulates Irizarry, who is a 2017 William Floyd High School graduate for her achievements. (Tri Hamlet Newst)
  2. Chamber of Commerce will host an Easter Egg Trail Hunt at Farmingville Hills County Park. The event is set for April 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The park is located at 501 Horseblock Ave., Farmingville. Tickets are $15 per child and the ages are 2-10. (Mommy Poppins)

  • Police are seeking community help in the investigation of the death of an East Patchogue man. Benjamin Herold walked from 7-Eleven in East Patchogue back to his home on Atlantic Avenue on Oct. 30. He was found outside his home with a leg injury that resulted in his death. Police believe his injuries were the result of being struck by a vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call the police. (Newsbreak)
