- Jesse Diaz, from Shirley, pleads guilty to sexually assaulting a woman in Coram. The crime occurred in May 2021 at Route 112 when a woman was walking alone and strangled by Diaz. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
- William Floyd School superintendent, Kevin M. Coster, said the school is taking safety precautions to protect the 9,000 students. An investment was made to expand the security forces, and students have discussed the theme to promote awareness of the issue. The community is welcome to contact a confidential tip hotline available at 631-874-1200 to report any threats of violence against the school. (Long Island Advance)
