  1. Peconic Bay Medical Center opened a new drive-thru coronavirus PCR testing site in Riverhead. Testing is free and available by appointment from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (RiverheadLOCAL)
  2. A fight between teens and a trash can being knocked over prompted 911 calls at the Smith Haven Mall on Monday. Officers responded to Smith Haven Mall at 4:34 p.m. after multiple 911 callers reported possible shots fired but there were no confirmed gun shots. (Patch)
  3. The second annual Patchogue Plunge, hosted by the Patchogue Young Professionals, will take place on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 13. This year's plunge will benefit the Gabby Petito Foundation. (Patch)
  4. Former New York Police Department chief Rodney Harrison started his new job in Suffolk on Monday, and became the first Black police commissioner in the county's history. (Patch)
