1. Two separate shootings happened on Mastic Road on Wednesday. In the first incident, a man fired shots at a home on Mastic Road at 3:30 a.m. and fled. The second incident was a gunpoint robbery involving two suspects who stole a woman's cellphone. Police are investigating the crimes and asking for the public's help with any information. 2. Don't forget to register the kiddos for the "Sprinkler Fun" at the yard of the Mastic Recreation Center on Aug. 1 at 12:30 p.m. The Center is at 15 Herkimer Street, Mastic. (MMSC Library)
