- Mastic Beach resident Jermaine Gerald, 42, was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon on July 30. The arrest took place on Central Islip. According to the police, Gerald resisted the arrest. (Patch)
- The MMS Community Library Small Business Mentoring will be hosted via Zoom on Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. For those who want to start a small business but need guidance, make an appointment here. (Patch)
