  1. Mastic Beach resident Jermaine Gerald, 42, was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon on July 30. The arrest took place on Central Islip. According to the police, Gerald resisted the arrest. (Patch)
  2. The MMS Community Library Small Business Mentoring will be hosted via Zoom on Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. For those who want to start a small business but need guidance, make an appointment here. (Patch)
