  1. For those who will send the kiddos to summer programs, the William Floyd School District released the information on the Summer School transportation available for middle and high school kids. Check it out here. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Drop in at the Mastics Moriches Shirley Community Library on Tuesday, July 5 at 4:30 p.m. for the "Tail Wagging' and Reading Fun!" Children in grades K-6 are welcome to read their favorite book to a therapy dog. (MMSC Library)
  3. Attention, small business owners and artisans in the Patchogue community and its surroundings, the Harmony Cafe needs vendors to be part of the "Harmony at the Farm Fundraiser" on July 30. Spots are limited. Access the forms and info here. (Patch)
  4. Business owners in New York have a lot to think about this summer. The state Legislature has passed a law that establishments will decide if armed customers are welcome inside the stores. A sign must be placed in the window if the business allows it. The new law was signed by governor Kathy Hochul and will be affected on Sept. 1. (News12)
