1. Cornell Cooperative Extension will host a seminar at the Wertheim National Wildlife in Shirley. For those who want to learn about ticks on Long Island and how to protect themselves, the event will be held on June 25 at 10 a.m. in the Visitor Center. (Wertheim Wildlife Refuge)
2. Friday is Water Playday at the Shirley Beach with the MMS Community Library friends. Kids aged 18 months to 5 years are invited to meet on Grandview Drive for a playdate at 11 a.m.

3. American Airlines announced the cancellation of flight services to MacArthur Airport. The company released a note on Monday saying the decision was made due to the pilot shortage the airline has been facing. (Patch)
