2. William Floyd Estate treated visitors on May 28 to a profound presentation of the history of patriot William Floyd. The mansion is located at 245 Park Drive, Mastic Beach, and will be open for visitors throughout the summer. (Fire Island News)
3. For all needing health insurance guidance, the Mastic Moriches Shirley Community Library is hosting a HIICAP Counseling on June 15 from 3:30-4 p.m. Appointments can be made by phone and will grant participants a 30-minute free session. Visit here for more information. (MMSC Library)
4. Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta and St. Joseph's Church invite the community to become superheroes by participating in a blood drive on June 28. The event will be held at the Travis Hall in Kings Park from 1-7 p.m. The donations will benefit the blood banks on Long Island. (LongIsland.com)
5. Hikers and bikers will have to check out the new trail that has been in the making for 50 years and is finally ready to receive adventurers.
