- The National Weather Service confirmed there were four total tornadoes that touched down on Long Island. Shirley's twister was the strongest, and the only EF-1. (News 12)
- Patch talks to the owners of a new Oaxacan Mexican restaurant coming to Patchogue Village. Ruta Oaxaca will open in January. (Patch)
- Peggy Spellman Hoey has details on three people who were charged after all-terrain vehicle crashes between Ridge and Riverhead on Sunday, after a mob of 50 to 100 bikers and ATV riders crowded Sound Avenue in Wading River. Some wondered if it was the same group recently seen in the Shirley-Mastic area. (Patch)
- CBS New York talks to a Shirley woman whose house was hit by pieces of a neighbor's roof during Saturday's tornado. Denise Flores said her house shifted and has wood impaled into the sides. The tornado may have reached 110 miles per hour. (CBS New York)
