ShotSpotter Activated, Shell Casings Found On Mastic Roadway: Police

It happened just before 2 a.m., Suffolk police say.

MASTIC, NY — Suffolk police's ShotSpotter technology was activated, and shell casings were found in a neighborhood in Mastic early Wednesday morning, a police spokesperson said.

Officers were called to Pawnee Avenue between Bullard Street and Hawthorne Avenue at around 1:54 a.m., according to police.

There were no reported injuries.
