County Executive Steve Bellone, Legis. James Mazzarella, Public Works Commissioner Joseph Brown, and a project consultant will speak.

SHIRLEY, NY — Suffolk County officials will host an informational forum about the Smith Point Bridge replacement project in the auditorium of William Floyd High School on Jan. 18.
Officials have billed the forum, set to begin at 7 p.m., as a “construction awareness information session.” It will feature County Executive Steve Bellone, Legis. James Mazzarella, Department of Public Works Commissioner Joseph Brown, and a project consultant from Hardesty and Hanover.
The bridge was erected in the 1950s and joins the south shore of Shirley with Fire Island National Seashore and Smith Point County Park.
