1. Many Long Islanders touched by Thomas Valva's story visited his grave during the holidays. Thomas was eight years old when he passed away. His father, ex-NYPD Officer Michael Valva was convicted for his death. (Patch)
2. Long Island communities joined forces to help the family of the three teenagers who were killed in a car crash in Holtsville. One of the victims was a Mastic resident.
