Tractor-Trailer Crashes Into Median, Jack-Knifes On LI Express Drive North, Snarling Traffic Wednesday: Cops

The exit ramp at Exit 68 was closed for more than an hour and half, Suffolk police say.

YAPHANK, NY — The morning commute was snarled for a time on Wednesday morning after a tractor-trailer struck the median and jack-knifed on Long Island Expressway Drive North in Yaphank, Suffolk police said.

The tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on Express Drive North when the vehicle struck the median and jack-knifed at around 5:35 a.m., according to police.

No one was hurt, police said.
