Vehicle Fire Doused In Patchogue: Police

No one was hurt, Suffolk police say.

PATCHOGUE, NY — A man's vehicle caught fire as he was driving on Montauk Highway in Patchogue on Monday night, Suffolk police said.

The 29-year-old man was driving a 2012 Honda on East Main Street, near Bay Avenue, when he saw flames coming from its hood and pulled over at around 8:15 p.m., according to police.

Firefighters from the North Patchogue Fire Department extinguished the flames, police said.
