Walgreens' Shirley Location To Close Next Month
Customers were notified by the chain pharmacy by letter and email this week.
SHIRLEY, NY — Walgreens' location on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley will be closing on March 20, the chain pharmacy's corporate office announced in communications to customers this week.
The office apologized for "any disruption" the closure might cause and said that staffers are available to help at nearby locations.
The William Floyd Parkway location was one of two in Shirley including one on Montauk Highway.

The pharmacy chain's other locations have access to prescriptions and insurance information to help move the transition along, the corporate office said.
The chain announced in June that it would close "a significant number" of stores nationwide.
