  1. Sunday there is a Winter Wonderland Festival five miles away from Shirley! Center Moriches hosts the event on Main Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring holiday characters, music, treats, photo booths and more! (Center Moriches CofC)
  2. Mastic-Moriches-Shirley Community Library is hosting a 3D Print Workshop on Monday, Dec. 12, at 4 p.m. Ms. Sam and Mr. Keith will lead participants in the creation of objects using Tinkercad. (MMSCL)
  3. Police sought a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run. A man was walking home from work when he was hit by an unknown vehicle on Veterans Memorial Highway at Grundy Avenue. Sadly, the victim was lying on the ground for eight hours before someone noticed him and called the police. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest. (WABC-TV)
  4. There will be a LIPA Commission Hearing in Suffolk County on Friday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. at 725 Veterans Memorial Hwy. Visit the Town of Smithtown website for details. (Town of Smithtown Gov.)
