  1. Greater Long Island reports that the project to improve a 1.7 mile-stretch of Suffolk County’s Route 112 is officially done. The $32.7 million rehabilitation effort upgraded the road between Granny Road and the Long Island Expressway with wider travel lanes, new turning lanes at key intersections, new stormwater drains for runoff, pull-over areas for buses, bike lanes in both directions, new sidewalks, curb ramps reflective pavement markings, crossing signals and a landscaped median.   2. Patch talks to the owner of a Mastic soul food restaurant. Tiny's Famous Eats is on the Poospatuck Reservation. (Patch)
  3. News 12 reports that a 23-year-old woman was shot by her ex-boyfriend in Yaphank. It happened at 9 p.m. Monday night. She was treated at the hospital and released. (News 12)
  4. Suffolk police are searching for two men who assaulted a cell phone repair store employee in October. They went inside IFIXSCREENS on Montauk Highway at about 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 16, and struck an employee with a piece of wood, then ran away from the store. (Patch)
  5. Patchogue native Kevin Connolly, his Entourage co-star Kevin Dillon and creator Merrick native Doug Ellin will be at the Paramount on Nov. 20 for "Stars of Entourage Present: Victory the Podcast Live!" in Patchogue Village. (News 12)
