- John S Hobart Elementary in Shirley is hosting a Family Fun Day in March! The school is looking for vendors and donations to make the event special for the community. - Suffolk police are asking for the public's help to identify a woman who committed robberies at businesses in Suffolk County, including a Subway restaurant in Shirley. - The South Country School District faces a lawsuit over allegedly toxic conditions at school. The battle is set to start against the school and town of Brookhaven after a teenage boy died from a lymphoma supposedly caused by toxins from the town landfill close to the school.
