“As we mark the start of Women’s History Month, we celebrate the trailblazers that have charted new waters and broken glass ceilings to create a more equitable society for all. This administration is filled with remarkable women who lead with grit and compassion, and who help make a difference in the lives of all New Yorkers every day. Through our Commission on Gender Equity, we are working relentlessly across city agencies and sectors to build a city free from gender-based health disparities and gender-based violence, to live economically secure lives that include equal pay for equal work, and to have equal access to opportunities to thrive. We tip our hats off to them and honor them for fighting to end gender bias and discrimination everywhere.”
