Police Continue Searching For Knifeman Who Attacked SoHo Women

Police are still searching for the knifeman who robbed two different women at the Spring Street subway station in SoHo, authorities said.

SOHO, NY — Police are still searching for the man who they say robbed two women at knifepoint in a SoHo subway station and have released additional surveillance photos of the suspect.

The man is believed to have robbed two different woman inside the Spring Street subway station, according to police, who released additional photos of the unidentified man on Wednesday. The man grabbed a 50-year-old woman from behind on June 13 before covering her mouth and nose with a cloth, police said. He threatened her with a knife and stole $70 in cash before fleeing the station, the NYPD said in a statement.

On June 17, the same man robbed another woman inside the station. He grabbed the 49-year-old victim from behind and used a white cloth to cover her mouth and nose, police said. He then pulled out a knife and stole $75 in cash from her purse, according to authorities.

Neither woman was injured, the NYPD said.

Police released a photo Wednesday they say was taken after the second attack and are asking for the public's health in identifying him. The man is believed to be about 25 years old.
