Soho Sunglass Hut Robbed By Two Toughs, Police Said

Two robbers made off with $14,000 from a Spring Street Sunglass Hut on Sunday.

SOHO, NY — Two robbers made off with thousands from a Sunglass Hut in Soho on Sunday, police said.

The heist happened on Spring Street at West Broadway when two men approached an employee at 3 p.m. and told the cashier that he had a gun and not to try and stop him, authorities said.

The pair stole cash and merchandise adding up to a whopping $14,000, said police.

Police described the man who told the clerk he had a gun as six-foot-one, 250 pounds with short, black hair and brown eyes. He was last scene wearing a white t-shirt, dark colored shorts, white socks and white and black shoes.

His partner in crime is described as five-foot-nine, 160 pounds and was last spotted wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes and holding an orange basketball, police said.
