East Quogue Man Arrested After Being Found With Illegal Narcotics, Handgun In His Vehicle: Police
A stop for a traffic infraction led to the discovery of the narcotics and handgun, police say.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — An East Quogue man was arrested Saturday night after being found with illegal narcotics and a handgun in his vehicle, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, at about 10:27 p.m., officers stopped a driver for a traffic infraction.
Upon interviewing the driver, Christopher Worrell, 37, he was found to have operated his motor vehicle with a suspended license, police said. Upon further investigation Worrell was found to have the illegal narcotics and handgun in the vehicle, police said.

Worrell was arrested and transported to Southampton Town police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment, police said.
Worrell was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of narcotic drug, a felony; third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/narcotic drug intent to sell, a felony; second-degree criminal use drug paraphernalia-scales, a misdemeanor; third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony; and two traffic infractions, police said.
