BHS Community Honors Breast Cancer Survivors at Volleyball Event
'Volley for the Cure' brought many to tears.

The gymnasium at Brewster High School was covered in pink last Friday as volleyball players and spectators recognized local breast cancer survivors.
It was the third consecutive year Brewster and a visiting school—Carmel last year, and Mahopac this time—came together for the event, which coincided with senior night for the Bears.
Volley for the Cure featured a parade of survivors, whose illnesses ranged from uterine cancer to Hodgkin's disease, and live music before the games began.

Spectators were asked to donate $1 at the door and encouraged to purchase items at a bake sale. The money will go to cancer research.
