Brewster Cops Log 6 Arrests, 223 Tickets in December
Authorities received (65) 911 calls, which included complaints for a phone threat, peddlers, suspicious persons and more.

At this week's Village Board of Trustees regular meeting, officials accepted the Brewster Police Department's report for December 2012. Officers:
- Issued hundreds of tickets: 58 traffic violations, 31 Department of Transportation truck enforcement and 134 parking.
- Inspected 28 taxis.
- Made six arrests: three suspended registrations, one burglary, one disorderly conduct and one menacing.
- Made 316 security visits: 123 to the sewer, 113 to the water tank and 80 to the well field.
- Spent 199 hours on foot patrol: 49 on Main Street, 129 at the Brewster Train Station and 21 in residential areas.
- Handled (65) 911 calls—for reports that ranged from domestic disputes to a recovered stolen vehicle—and 19 walk-in/pickup complaints.
