
At last week's Village Board of Trustees regular meeting, officials accepted the Brewster Police Department's report for April 2013. Here's what officers did:
- Issued 86 parking tickets, 181 traffic tickets and four for local ordinances.
- Inspected 47 taxis.
- Made six arrests: one assault, one larceny, two suspended license and two suspended registration.
- Made 337 security visits: 141 to the sewer, 120 to the water tank and 76 to the well field.
- Spent 187 hours on foot patrol: 82 on Main Street, 89 at the Brewster Train Station and 16 in residential areas.
- Handled (61) 911 calls—for reports that ranged from a burglary to a brush fire to suspicious persons—and 20 walk-in/pickup complaints.
