Car Flies Over Main Street Sidewalk in Brewster, Slams into Parked Vehicle

Officials report no injuries.

Police say a man exiting a Main Street driveway lost control of the vehicle, which passed through bushes, then over a stone wall and the sidewalk. It came to rest after striking a parked pickup truck.

No one was injured in the crash, which occurred around 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

The driver was a 54-year-old Brewster man, according to officials. They do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role. No charges were filed.

The Brewster Police Department handled the accident. Members of the Brewster Fire Department and the New York State Police responded, too.

Lisi's Towing removed the vehicle, a 2012 Ford Focus, from the scene. It was nearly totaled, police said. The other vehicle sustained damaged on one side.
