Celebrate Putnam County Day At Tilly Foster Farm
It's the 212th anniversary of the county's formation, and many people and institutions who value local history will be recognized.

SOUTHEAST, NY — Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne and County Historian Jennifer Cassidy invite the public to Putnam County Day, a celebration of the 212th anniversary of the county's formation, on June 12 at Tilly Foster Farm.
The theme this year is “Celebrating Collectors & Collections" and many individuals and institutions who make local history available to researchers and the public alike will be recognized.
"We will especially honor the memory of Denis M. Castelli and Gregory J. Amato, who assembled large and significant local history collections, and their spouses and family members who kept the collections intact and donated them for archival preservation in the County Historian’s Collection where they will be accessible to future generations," county officials said.
