Cops: Speeding Driver in Southeast was Drunk

A 30-year-old Brookfield, CT man is facing a misdemeanor drunken driving charge following a recent traffic stop in Southeast, officials say.

Troopers from the East Fishkill barracks stopped Mark A. Nobes at about 4:15 a.m. on Interstate 84 in Southeast. He was reportedly operating a 2004 Honda Civic Del Sol at about 78 mph in a 55-mph zone. 

Police say Nobles' blood-alcohol level was 0.16. The legal limit is 0.08. They charged the defendant with driving while intoxicated and released him pending a Dec. 20 appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
