DJ Fined After Days Of Noise Complaints At Rented Hudson Valley Airbnb
Police say the apparent "party house" was the subject of repeated noise complaints at all hours of the day and night.
PUTNAM VALLEY, NY — A temporary new neighbor wasn't being very neighborly, according to police.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says that on Dec. 16, around 7:45 a.m., deputies responded to a home on Lake Drive in Putnam Valley after a noise complaint.
Once on the scene, they found a large number of people inside the house and heard loud music coming from the basement. Deputies determined that the home was being rented out as an Airbnb, and a DJ was on site playing music.

The sheriff's office says that this was not the first noise complaint at this location, as a deputy had responded to the house overnight for the same issue. The occupants had been warned and instructed to turn off the music, which they temporarily complied with.
However, deputies learned that the 911 Center had received numerous calls about loud music and parking issues at the address over the previous two days.

Due to the ongoing disturbances, an appearance ticket was issued to the DJ, 25-year-old Jesus Oliveras-Sosa, of Manhattan. He was cited for a violation of the town code concerning unreasonably loud, disturbing, or unnecessary noise.
