Four DWI Arrests, Two With Extras: Putnam Sheriff
Two of the drivers were unlicensed, police said.
PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Putnam County sheriff's deputies made four stops of suspected drunken drivers over two days in August and ended up charging four people with charges ranging from felony DWI to unlicensed driving and circumventing an interlock device.
It started Aug. 19 at 2:10 a.m.
Deputies saw a driver on Route 22 traveling from his lane of traffic in an unsafe manner and stopped 23-year-old Michael F. Bautista-Zumba of Danbury. On further investigation they found he did not have a drivers license. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Southeast Court.

Eighteen hours later, deputies saw a car crossing the yellow lines and being driven under the speed limit on Peekskill Hollow Road. The driver was unable to complete field sobriety tests, police alleged.
Manuel H. Guanuche of Peekskill was charged with Felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra's Law as he had, among his six passengers, three under the age of 16. He was also charged with Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Misdemeanor Operating a Vehicle Without an Interlock Device, and infractions for Unlicensed Operation, Refusal to Take a Breath Test, and Not Wearing a Seat Belt — neither him nor his passengers. Guanuche, 39, was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and was released with an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Putnam Valley Court.

At 2:10 a.m. Aug. 20, deputies pulled over Orlando DeJesus-Ramos, 42, of College Park, Maryland, after they said they saw him driving on the wrong side of the road on Main Street in Brewster. After failing roadside field sobriety tests, he was arrested for misdemeanor Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable in the Village of Brewster Court.
On the same date, at approximately 8:20 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a call of a vehicle that had struck a mailbox and fled the scene on Terry Hill Rd in Kent.
Deputies were able to locate the vehicle in a driveway on Fair Street in Patterson. The operator, identified as 42-year-old Travis Scott Teeter of Southeast, was questioned and admitted to hitting the mailbox and leaving. He was also observed to show signs of intoxication.
He was arrested and charged with the following Felonies: Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and Driving While Intoxicated for a previous conviction within ten years. Also, misdemeanor Circumventing an Interlock Device and an infraction for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. He was processed and issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Patterson Court at a future date.
