Obituary: Rin Tae Lee of South Salem

Rin Tae Lee of South Salem, NY passed away on Thursday July 27, 2023 at home at the age of 81.

Rin Tae was born March 21, 1942, in Korea, son of the late Chang Ho Lee (father) and Mook Suk Kim (mother). He graduated from Kyunggi High School and Seoul National University. He married Hae Yeun Kang on May 17, 1970 in Seoul, South Korea.

He immigrated to the United States in 1974 to Brooklyn, NY, then to Livingston, NJ, before finally settling in Westchester County, NY.

He was a business owner in the garment industry in New York for over 40 years.

He was a devoted husband and loving father, he was kind and generous, gentle and sweet. He was grateful for the life he was given, and the family and friends with whom he was blessed.

He is survived by his wife, Hae Yeun Lee of South Salem; his son Joseph Lee (and his wife, Grace) of New York, NY, daughter Anne (and her husband, Jason Rhoades) of Clinton, MI, and four grandchildren Olivia and Ryan Lee, and Annabelle and William Rhoades.

Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY from 9:00am to 1:00pm with funeral service starting at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
