Oct. 10: Sybil Ludington, Book Group Prep

Here are five items to keep in mind throughout the day.

1. Are you signed up for the Southeast-Brewster Patch newsletter? It's one of the best ways to keep up with recent articles, breaking news, up-to-the-minute weather conditions, road construction updates, events and more. 

2. The Run of Sybil Ludington, a tour that takes folks back in time and traces Ludington's historic route in Putnam, is coming up. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 17. Reservations are required, so find more informationhere.

4. This month's book group at the Brewster Public Library is scheduled to meet on the 17th, so you still have plenty of time to grab a copy of The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides (check out this New York Times review of the novel). The discussion is slated to begin at 1 p.m. that day.

5. The National Weather Service is calling for cloudy skies, rain and a high of about 60 degrees in Brewster today.
