Philly Man Arrested After Stealing Vehicle, Fleeing From State Police
Troopers were able to stop him by deploying a tire-deflation device to disable the vehicle on Route 22, in Putnam County.

BREWSTER, NY — A Pennsylvania man's flight from justice in a stolen car was short-lived, thanks to an essential piece of equipment, NYS troopers said.
New York State Police from Brewster say that they arrested 22-year-old Alaji Ahmad-Alwan, of Philadelphia, for felony third-degree grand larceny, felony fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and misdemeanor third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer.
On Saturday, police received a report that a 2018 Honda CRV had been stolen from a parking lot at a business in Brewster. Investigators say Ahmad-Alwan had taken the vehicle from the local business and fled the scene.
