Thunder Ridge is opening for the season at 5 p.m. Friday (Dec. 13).
"Mother Nature dropped several inches of natural snow and the snow guns have been working overtime during these cold nights!" the staff said in a press release. "Thunder Ridge will open for the season as of Friday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m. Regularly scheduled hours will continue every day!"
The National Weather Service is calling for cold temperatures in Brewster this weekend—expect a high of 25 degrees Saturday—as well as snow and freezing rain.

Thunder Ridge offers more than 30 trails, including slopes designed for beginners. It's located on Birch Hill Road in Patterson.
