Troopers: After Collision with Tractor-Trailer, Man Faces DWI Charge

He was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police recently arrested a 21-year-old Connecticut man who they say was drunk behind the wheel when he crashed into a tractor-trailer.

Troopers at the East Fishkill barracks of the New York State Police charged Vincent E. Logue, of New Milford, with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

The accident occurred at about 4:15 a.m. Saturday on eastbound Interstate 84 in Southeast. Logue, who was driving a 1993 Honda Civic, is accused of "merging unsafely" and colliding with the truck.

He was transported to Danbury Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Officials were unable to provide a blood-alcohol level Tuesday because they are awaiting the results of a blood test.

Logue is due Jan. 29 in Southeast Justice Court.
