"Planning Board members are your neighbors," the town's website says. "The Board welcomes and encourages public attendance at meetings and active participation whenever there is a public hearing on a particular project. It is an excellent way for residents of the Town to see how the Planning process works and to understand how their Town is being developed. Attendance at meetings gives residents the opportunity to participate in that development process and help plan for the future of the Town."
