• Aquebogue woman charged in felony theft from Greenport restaurant: Southold Police (riverheadlocal.com) — Southold Town police say a long-term investigation led to a grand larceny charge against a former employee of a Greenport restaurant, and detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them. Authorities allege more than $50,000 was taken, a level that can carry a prison sentence of up to 15 years if there is a conviction. Police emphasize that the charge is only an accusation.
