Several firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation, and a neighboring home suffered mostly water and smoke damage. Spring Valley DPW salted the icing roadway, and officials are now investigating the cause.
   

• Years-Long Hunt For Parking Lot Gunman In Spring Valley Ends In Prison Time (dailyvoice.com) — Nearly five years after a 2020 parking lot shooting on Kearsing Parkway in Spring Valley, police and federal partners secured a conviction and prison sentence. Pedro Cintron-Acosta was arrested, pleaded guilty to weapon possession, and received five years in state prison plus supervision. Investigators say they have now recovered the firearm used in the incident.
