• Emergency Personnel Respond to Bear Mountain Bridge for Jumper Incident (hudsonvalleypost.com) — Stony Point firefighters were among several departments called to the Bear Mountain Bridge after reports of a distressed person on Sunday morning, December 7. Despite negotiations by State Police, the individual went into the Hudson River, prompting an intensive but ultimately suspended water search. Authorities have not yet identified or located the person, and officials are reminding residents that the 988 Lifeline is available for anyone in crisis.
