Bay Ridge Teen Arrested For Pummeling Man On Subway, Leaving Him Clinging To Life
He punched and kicked the man after stepping on the victim's foot on an R train in Sunset Park.

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — A Bay Ridge teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with an attack on a subway in Sunset Park that left another man clinging to life to the hospital, police said Tuesday.
Rustem Lamaj, 18, who lives on Third Avenue, was charged with attempted murder and three counts of assault, police said.
On Friday afternoon, Lamaj was riding a southbound R train with another man, when Lamaj stepped on his foot, according to police.

The 30-year-old man confronted Lamaj, who punched him in the face and caused him to fall to the ground, according to police. Once on the ground, Lamaj punched and kicked him in the head and face, police said.
The victim, identified by multiple news outlets as Anthony Hamoui. The New York Daily News and New York Post both reported Hamoui is fighting for his life at NYU-Langone.

Lamaj initially hopped on a D train and fled when the R train pulled into the 36th Street station.
