Compressor Catches Fire At Woodbury Golf Course: PHOTOS
Firefighters had to make sure the flames didn't spread to a nearby building.
WOODBURY, NY — A compressor fire at a Woodbury golf course prompted firefighters to spring into action Monday to prevent the blaze from spreading. The Syosset Fire Department was called around noon Monday to the Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course on South Woods Road for a report that a machine was ablaze.
Crews found a compressor on fire near a building, officials said. The fire was quickly extinguished before it could spread.
No one was hurt.
