Woodbury Hair Salon Owner Facing Serious Health Challenge Sells Business 'With Great Sadness'
A local hair salon shared the news on its social media pages.

WOODBURY, NY — The owner of Woodbury's ID Salon shared on Saturday that the business would be under new ownership — due to the heartbreaking fact that she was facing a major health challenge.
Lori Panarello, former owner and Mattituck resident, shared a statement on the salon's Facebook page. The message states: "Dear clients of ID Salon, it is with great sadness that I announce I have been diagnosed with a brain tumor, necessitating the sale of the salon to ensure the continued well-being of the dedicated staff you have grown to appreciate. I wish to express my deepest gratitude for your loyalty over the years, particularly during challenging times."
Panarello added that she considers her staff and clients as close as family, and encouraged ID Salon's clients to continue to support their stylists. She also wrote that she will continue to be in for haircuts and may see some of her former clients.

The salon's new owners shared a post on both Facebook and Instagram, stating that clients should not worry — the salon will stay in the same location on Jericho Turnpike, all of the stylists will remain the same, and appointments will continue uninterrupted, they said.
"As the new owners, we are truly excited to meet each of you and to build on the strong foundation that already exists," they wrote.
