Former Employee Embezzled $80K From Woodbury Country Club: PD

The thefts occurred over a seven-year span, police say.

A former Woodbury Country Club employee was arrested on Wednesday for making $80,000 worth of unauthorized purchases on two company-related credit cards over a seven-year span, police say.

According to authorities, Joanne Ervolina, 51, of Bohemia, made unauthorized charges on the Woodbury Country Club's credit card and another individual's personal account while employed at the 884 Jericho Turnpike venue from 2011 to August 2018. She stole more than $80,000, police say.

Ervolina was arrested and charged with second-degree grand larceny and two counts of third-degree grand larceny. He will be arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
