Rotarians Hosting Russian Heart Surgery Patient

The Syosset-Woodbury Rotary Club welcomed ten year old Anastasia Bakhtiarovs, of Russia, and her mother, Yulia, at their weekly Rotary meeting at Mim's Restaurant.

Anastasia is in the USA as part of the Gift of Life – Russian GOL program, to receive life-saving heart surgery at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn.

Syosset-Woodbury Rotarians are hosting Anastasia and her mother during their stay at the Ronald McDonald House, in New Hyde Park.

Anastasia is being sponsored by the White Oaks Nursing Facility in memory of a former employee.
