'Carry the Load' Begins Journey from West Point to Texas

The group of veteran supporters passed through Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown last night.

"Carry the Load," a non-profit veterans support group, began their relay from West Point to Texas Tuesday afternoon, coming through Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown after 10 p.m. where they were greeted by locals awaiting them in .

The group is relaying 1,700 miles to remind Americans of the importance of Memorial Day and of supporting veterans. All proceeds raised through Carry the Load will go towards several organizations dedicated to military families and veterans causes.
