Flooding Closes Some Westchester Roads Friday

Heavy rainfall that occurred Thursday is affecting some roadways in the lower Hudson Valley.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — More than 2 inches of rain falling Thursday, there are reports of flooding on some Westchester roads.

Shortly before 10 a.m., the county said that the Bronx River Parkway was partially closed at:

  • Southbound Main Street to Fenimore Road
  • Northbound Butler to Main Street
  • Southbound Scarsdale Road to Sprain Split
  • Northbound Sprain Split to Scarsdale Road

  • Right lane closed northbound at Route 119 in Elmsford
  • Southbound Route 119 closed due to flooding; traffic diverted to Route 119 proper
  • Heavy ponding southbound south of Mountain Road
  • Right lane southbound south of Lawrence Street in Dobbs Ferry

The Hutchinson River and Cross County parkways have ponding in some locations, but all lanes are passable.
