Organizers said Youth Court is a unique collaborative approach to help reduce juvenile crimes in a process that incorporates teens, victims, families and the community in a new form of justice — one that assigns youth to make difficult decisions about delinquent behavior of the town's young people by carrying out the roles of judge, prosecutors, defense attorneys, bailiff, court clerk and jurors.

All Youth Court members will go through an intensive training program conducted by experienced judges, attorneys, court personnel and police officers.
