Hudson Valley Gas Prices Continue To Drop

Only one county in the Hudson Valley is below the $4 mark.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Gas prices in the nation, the state and the Hudson Valley continue to drop.

As of Monday, the average price of a gallon of gas in the United States is $3.85, according to AAA. That is down from $3.90 a week ago.

In New York, the price of a gallon of gas averaged $4.14 on Monday, down from $4.25 a week ago.

Locally, the average price of gas is the lowest in Ulster County. As of Monday, it was the only county under $4 — $3.99.

If you happened to be driving through Kingston Monday, you could see gas prices such as $3.69 at Valero at 327 Broadway and $3.75 at Sunoco at 384 Foxhall Ave., according to Gas Buddy.

Dutchess County saw gas prices drop 9 cents in the past week, and White Plains had an 11 cent drop.

Here are the average prices for a gallon of gas in the Hudson Valley as of Monday:

  • Dutchess County: $4.26
  • Ulster County: $3.99
  • Orange County: $4.20
  • Putnam County: $4.22
  • Rockland County: $4.22
  • Westchester County: $4.22
