Paws Crossed Breaks Ground On New Adoption Center
The shelter will have a pet supply store, offices, a community room for programming and a much-needed clinic when the project is completed.

ELMSFORD, NY — Paws Crossed Animal Rescue in Elmsford held a ceremony Tuesday to break ground on a renovation that will see the building of a new adoption center and more.
The nonprofit said this is the latest chapter of changes in their "There's No Place Like Home" campaign.
Besides the new adoption center, there will be four new cat rooms, three meet-and-greet rooms, a pet supply store, offices, a community room for programming and a much-needed clinic.

Jennifer Angelucci, president and CEO of Paws Crossed, said the organization is grateful to the community for their encouragement, inspiration and support.
"We have been dreaming of and planning for this moment since day one of Paws Crossed," she said. "This incredible life-saving renovation will greatly expand our mission to 'Rescue One By One Until There Are None.' "

The new cat rooms will allow the shelter to more than double intake, and the new meet-and-greet rooms will give potential adopters a more intimate space to get to know their possible pets.
Organizers said the new clinic will save time and money by not having to outsource veterinary services. They said, in the future, the shelter will be able to offer low-cost veterinary services to the public.
